Norway Adventures
ADVENTURE IN NATURE FOR ALL THE FAMILY
    • Everest Region

Leading the trip is Ewen Martin, a mountain guide, international ski teacher and kayak coach. He has led several climbing expeditions to the Himalayas, the Alps and South America.

My aim is to guide, and offer adventure, in an environment that allows us to enjoy nature and the people in it. During my visits to Nepal I got to know one of our Sherpas very well. His name is Purna and he founded his own trekking company in 2001. It is through this association that I am now able to offer this unique trip with Adventure Norway to visit the Everest region of Nepal with the wonderful combination of Western security and guidance, and eastern culture and spiritMore Details (pdf)

    • Island Peak

Island Peak is a beautiful mountain. We should arrive at base camp (5,300m) well acclimatised as we have had 12 days trekking and been to 5,368m.

Summit day will be an early start around 4am starting in the dark on a very rough path, the initial walk will include some scrambling. Around sunrise we will arrive at the glacier where we put on harness, crampons and rope up. We then have a gentle trek along the glacier with fantastic views of the summit ridge in front of us. Arriving at the base of the ridge we will then use fixed rope to ascend 100m onto the ridge. Once on the ridge we carefully traverse and ascend until we reach the summit. We aim to summit by noon and enjoy the spectacular views around us. More Details (pdf)
